Captain Sean Smith is the Founder and President of The Aimsir Group. A self-professed aviation “geek,” his specialization includes both general aviation and corporate flight operations.

A current Check Airman/ Line pilot with a major commercial airline. He is type rated in the G-73T, BE-1900, CL-65, and the B737. In his role as a Check Airman, Captain Smith is responsible for training, evaluating, and maintaining currency for over 10,000 pilots.

Captain Smith has 26 years of incident and accident-free flying and has amassed over 22,000 hours with no FAA violations.

Moreover, Captain Smith has managed a general aviation flight department with responsibilities including compliance and certification, recruitment and retention of pilots, and liaison daily with the Flight Standards Inspectorate.

He holds a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Aviation Management/Flight Technology from the Florida Institute of Technology (FIT) in Melbourne, Florida, and an Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) License.
